Alicia + Annie’s Favorite Nature Picture Books

Here is our list of favorite nature picture books! No matter the time of year, the beauty of nature is everywhere. From watching animals cope with the cold days of winter, seeing the wildflowers peek out as winter fades, or observing a pond and the many ways it impacts the nature around it, we are immersed in nature everywhere, and in every season.

It can be easy to assume that nature study should be left to spring as it awakens from the cold, or fall when the entire landscape changes its colors, however studying nature all through the year is so much fun! Engaging with your kids in this way makes them active observers and participants in this great big world around them. With the numerous resources out there to guide you in studying the many facets of nature, it’s easy to add into your homeschooling days!

Our favorite way to learn about nature is through living books. We have gathered our favorites to share with you. Our hope is that they inspire and encourage you to get out and enjoy nature, no matter the season!
