Critical thinking for my little one isn’t something that I normally focus on in our preschool. There’s so much newness happening in her life, I figure it’s ALL critical thinking for her. Until Timberdoodle Co. asked me to review their Snow White Logic game. I agreed, though apprehensive. Can this game really be that different then the games we normally play? And guess what? That dang Snow White Logic game is awesome!

Snow White Logic Game: Why Critical Thinking for Preschoolers is Awesome
Your preschool is constantly solving a puzzle–what did Mom tell me to do? How can I fit this toy piece back together how it goes? What do I have to do after using the bathroom?
It’s all a constant logic game for your child. And this is a great thing! They are learning, growing, becoming big kids!

Get the 6 Secrets to a Simpler Mom Life
What I love about honing in on logic for kids of all ages is that it teaches them (and me!) to think through the processes of day-to-day life–well beyond the current game they’re playing. When we tried out Snow White Logic Game, I was so surprised how quickly Vera took to trying to solve the problems and how intensely I could hear her wheels turning.
How the Game is Played
What I love about everything I’ve ever tried from Timberdoodle Co. is the durability. Snow White Logic game is no exception. It’s super durable, super colorful, and your preschooler with recognize the characters from Snow White as soon as you open the box.
The game includes the Cottage, dwarfs, Snow White, the Wicked Queen, a picture book (which is not totally necessary for the game, but a fun addition), and a booklet of challenges for the player.
To play, you choose a challenge from the booklet. The challenges range from easy to master challenges. The picture guided challenge will show you how to set up your cottage with the characters placed in certain spots. Then, based on the clues given, the player places the remainder of the characters where they should go. The solutions are on the backside of the challenge page.
What we liked (and didn’t like) about Snow White Logic Game
Vera, 4, loved playing this game. Besides being a logic game, she loved just sitting and playing with the characters. A few things that weren’t our favorite about Snow White Logic game though:
- This game is so toy-like, Vera had a hard time understanding that there were rules to the toy. This was actually fine though and I believe that playing produces SO much good learning, too.
- The picture book could be a little scary to some kids. In general, fairy tales are quite creepy! We happen to love them, but creepy none-the-less. It wasn’t necessarily an issue for us, but some kids might be more sensitive to it.
- For the most part, it was fine, but Vera had some trouble clicking the characters into place in the cottage sometimes. It was frustrating to her at first to make them stand straight in their places.
What we loved about Snow White Logic Game
- The span of easy to difficult in the booklet of challenges is really broad. I love this part because it extends the life of the game. She’ll be using this for harder and harder challenges as she grows.
- The durability of this game is top notch.
- Logic games are harder to find for this preschool age. I love this colorful option.
- This game doubles as a toy!
- It’s a great way to keep my preschooler busy while I’m working on homeschool with my older kids.
- Characters snap into place (though it was hard for Vera at first), so they stay in place while you arrange the other pieces.
Trying out this game was so much fun for all of us! Even the big kids got into this game, which was really fun. I love having an older kid sit and play with Vera. One of the many beauties of homeschooling is the whole family coming together to learn as one unit. This game has been unifying for all the ages in our house–so good!
