CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR KIDS TO MAKE: SERVING PLATES
This week’s last gift for your kids to make is so simple, you might even have everything you need in your house right this minute. Make some serving plates. All you need: Sharpies, plain white dinner plates, an oven. That’s it.
These serving plates would be so great to have your kids make and then fill them with Christmas goodies to give to neighbors and friends.
Handmade Christmas Gifts for Kids: Serving Plates
We showed the kids some coloring books and other Christmas plates to give them a little inspiration and then turned them loose. They ended up making plate after plate. It was so much fun. If they make a mistake, you can use a wet paper towel to wipe it off quickly before it starts to dry.

After the plates are done, set your oven to 300 degrees and stick your plates in for about 2 hours to set the Sharpie ink. The ink will harden as the plate cools. You still may want to hand wash these though, so include a note to do so with your gift.

Thank you! This looks so fun!
This is my favorite yet! We will give this a try on tomorrow's rainy day! 🙂
This looks so fun, Alicia. I've been passing your ideas on to my daughter, although Lily won't be doing projects until next year.
Fondly,
Glenda
