Yogurt Pops & Summer Treats

Yogurt pops are great summer treats! Here's how to make them...

I think it’s safe to say we’re all in the swing of summer now, right? Although we’re visiting the Midwest where summer has forgotten to arrive and we’re still wearing sweaters, we had to start checking off our summer bucket list….first up: yogurt pops.

Make yogurt pops

Finding healthy snacks for my kids is one of the hardest things.  Buying most summer treats means doling out a pile of sugar and high fructose corn syrup, which is sometimes not avoidable.  But when we’re making our own, we have the choice to choose the healthy things.  This recipe is the most simple frozen treat ever.  All you need is berries + plain Greek yogurt.  That’s it.

Just blend and freeze.

My kids are obsessed.  They’re a little tart, but if your kids don’t like that, just add a tablespoon of honey to add some sweet.

And now for the not-so-healthy…s’mores.  I mean, what is summer without an open fire and s’mores? No, they’re not healthy, but they’re a child’s right of passage and it has to be done.

We tried something new: fudge-striped cookies and roasted marshmallows.  The chocolate is already in it and they’re easy peasy.

The overall synopsis was the regular kind are better, but it’s worth a try.  I thought they were delish.

Continuing on with bucket list checking: flower crowns, sidewalk art, and fishing.  Check. Check. Checking.
