My Summer Plan: The Food Part

Happy Friday!

Today is errand day and I’ve got lots to do this morning, but I wanted to give you my one more section of my Summer Plan….

the food part ๐Ÿ™‚
Planning my menu is not my favorite chore. Getting the groceries is even worse.  But I came up with a plan a while back to take a little headache out of the mix.  ๏ปฟ
Here is the Summer Menu. I chose 15 meals that are summery, easy, quick and simple ingredients to make my entire summer’s menu. When I am getting ready to go to the store I just look at my list of meals, choose the next 5 (Monday-Friday…I usually don’t cook a whole lot on the weekends), and quickly make my grcery list and fill the meals in on my menu page…hold on I’ll get to that part. All of these meals are fast and simple because it’s summer. I would normally have a lot of grilled meals, but since our grill didn’t make it on the moving truck we don’t have one right now ๐Ÿ™
A lot of the meals I chose were discoveries from blogs, so I thought I’d give you my list of meals and their links if there is one…if there isn’t, I’ll try to share those recipes throughout the summer.
::My Summer Menu::
2. BLT’s
6. Shrimp w/ Pasta and Salad
9. Cod w/ Baked Potatoes
10. Thai Style Ribs with Peanut Noodles
11. Mushroom Asparagus Quiche

13. Tacos
14. Chicken Caesar Salad

I want to share this menu sheet I made to add to your planners. I’ve had so many of you comment and email me and let me know you’re making a planner!! I’m so excited for you! I love my planner…and I love that you’re gonna love yours too ๐Ÿ™‚
So here’s something to add to you “Menu” section.
I have a few more Summer fun things to share with y’all, but I’m out of time…soon. Very soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
Have a great weekend, peeps.

  1. I'm a religious meal planner but love the idea of a simple rotation. Lots of inspiration from you this week!!!

  2. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm having baby #2 in TWO days (yikes!) and haven't had the energy to cook. With your declaration of these recipes being easy and quick, I decided to make the Roasted Red Pepper & Basil Penne tonight. It was super easy and SO delicious! My 22 month old scarfed it down as well.

  3. That is a GREAT idea!! I have to finish painting doors and trim and then I'm going to plan my summer. WE still have 2 wks of school here.. so I have time to procrastinate. LOL

  4. oh, thanks for all those links. i should create a meal plan. i used to mega cook, but i haven't done that in about a year. it's super helpful for me, i don't even have to think about dinner!!

i love how organized you are–you're so impressive!
