Homeschooling Day in the Life: Eve, Homeschooling Mom of Three Children, Faithfully Following God’s Plan for Their Family

Day in the life Eve

A homeschool day in the life looks different almost every day, right? Over on our Instagram page, we love to give you a peek into lots of homeschool days regardless of how they change day to day.

Today, we’re going to give you a peek into the homeschool day in the life of Eve, homeschooling mom to three children, faithfully following God’s plan for their family.

We can all learn and be inspired by one another, regardless of our homeschool approach. It’s not about looking good for social media, it’s about the connection going on inside our homeschool walls and sharing with others what works for us.We might all homeschool a little differently, but we can always look for ideas from each other that inspire, encourage and equip us in our own homeschool days. So each week we create blog posts for you to access later of each of those “days in the life”. We hope you keep coming back for more inspiration. Keep going, mama! These days at home are so worth it!

Meet Eve

Meet Eve

Eve, is the lady behind @thehomeschoolingmamaof3. She’s from southeast Iowa and married her high school sweetheart. They have been together for 21 years, and have 3 children ages, 13, 10, and 6.

Eve and her husband never thought that they would homeschool but when it was time to send their oldest to school, they didn’t. They started their homeschool journey from the very beginning.

They are heading into their 11th year of homeschooling this fall and have been through many stages of homeschooling. From only homeschooling one to adding in each addition. Pregnancy, newborn, toddler stages, middle school and now about to embark on the high school years. Eve gets asked if she plans to homeschool all the way through and the answer is “you bet!” It’s been quite the adventure!

Halfway through her homeschooling journey, it hit her… she was called to this way of life. God had a plan for them, and she sees the difference it has made raising their children this way. She takes it a day at a time, leaning on God all the way.

Good Morning!

Good morning Eve

Good morning Learning Well Community!! So excited to share glimpses of our day with you all! We are already on a summer schedule and but I hope to explain a little more of what that can look like for our day!

Let me back up! Hi, I’m Eve, the lady behind @thehomeschoolingmamaof3 . I’ve been homeschool blogging over there since June 2019. We are from southeast Iowa, but in reality I’ve homeschooled in four states (AZ, MO, TX, and IA)! Although my husband and I grew up in Iowa, when we graduated college we moved away all with the hope of a job that wasn’t guaranteed, with our eight month old in tote. It was a huge leap of faith!! But with faith, well that’s how we get through everything! God had a big plan for us. We did end up back home to Iowa after being gone for 10 years. It’s been the best decision for our family hands down!

My three kiddos will very soon to be 14,11, and 6. The older two both have birthdays right around the corner–not to get ahead of myself but in my mind they are already there.

We are finishing up our year 10th year of homeschooling! We have homeschooled ever since the beginning and will be tackling high school this fall!

Summer Curriculum

Summer curriculum

During the summers we continue on, but with a lighter work load. That lighter load consists of Language Arts and Math–Math being the main focus.

We have used Math-U-See for years now. All three kids have done well with it. It focuses on mastery of a set skill in math before adding on more.

We are getting into the classroom right now and will be hitting the books! For more info on how our day looks find my highlight on the Learning Well feed over on Instagram!
