one last look…
I know summer is long gone. I know we went to the beach over a month ago. Yes, this is true.
But….when we got home my nausea kicked into HIGH gear and blogging was not a priority.
But…I have all these pretty pictures, so to just skip it would be sad.
So here you have a little peek at our last beach vacation of the summer…
Corolla’s gorgeous lighthouse. I climbed it. Why? I don’t know. I was sweating. I swear Sophie was doing cartwheels up and down the steps…making me sweat more.

Family dinner. We had a house and shared a lot of meals around this table. I loved cooking on vacation. It was more fun when you had two mamas. We took this picture right before we broke the news to them about #4.
Speaking of the mamas…
Jockey’s Ridge. It’s always gorgeous here….and tough to climb all these hills. Becky so sweetly bought the kids kites to try to fly at the top. We tried. Kite flying is hard!!๏ปฟ
We spent a lot of time on the beach. Late summer tends to create these crazy waves. We got a little beat up sometimes, but it was good. I love the Outer Banks for it’s sea life. There’s always something fun washing up and you can always spot a dolphin in the distance at some point in the day.
Thank you for revisiting for a minute while I can neatly pack summer away, officially now. It seems like forever ago! But now I can feel better about not sharing ANY beach pictures!
Hope you’re having a great week, my friends!

i was so sick this summer that i didn't have the energy to plan anything for us ๐ i know i'm going to regret it.. i wish we would have at least made it to the beach.. love your pictures and looks like you had a blast!
how in the stinking world did i miss that you were pregnant with # 4?????????
congratulations, Alicia!
still can't believe that you guys all went on vacation together…all because of a blog. ๐ awesome.
Beautiful pictures! You are so good about getting in so many of them. Love that. I need to work on that!
You two … darling and tan mommas.
Fondly,
Glenda
What fun that must have been with such great friends time has went by quick. Summer was good to you all!
Great family pics! The beach looked divine. I might just have to change our family vaca destination to Corolla. Loved our family weekend together but now I miss you guys more ๐ Lets talk soon.
Carissa
These are my favorite ONES so far of that trip!!
And kite flying isn't just hard. It SUCKS. We have ONE great spot in our county and it's always packed because it's probably the only place in the word a kite actually flies. But it is really cool when you get them up! (That sounded wrong.)
Beautiful pictures!
i want to go to the outer banks sometime. kelly's aunt has a house on okracoke. i've heard it's amazing. and look at your gorgeous pics!
ahhhh that does seem like forever ago! geeesh!!! sweet sweet memories. so glad we got a chance to do that with you before baby #4 hits the scene…ha!
Oh Summer seems like so long ago! I LOVE the Outer Banks, we have had some great times there too but your pictures are much better than mine.
Oh my gosh…what amazing pictures!! We missed out on a beach vacation this summer, maybe next year. This pictures did me good. Hehe ๐
So Long Summer! What beautiful pictures my friend! Your family is so precious! I especially loved the one with Sophie at the light house window and Jarod pulling all the beach toys and your sweet family shots and . . . Miss you friend!!
Thanks for sharing, i know all too well how bad nausea can stop you from getting ANYTHING done. Hope your feeling better!
i'm so glad you shared.
what special moments of the summer!
how can it feel so far away already?
most of the leaves that were so beautiful in my backyard have fallen and the trees are getting bare already.
thank goodness for pictures that remind of us of theses special times, otherwise i would surely forget.
