Mama’s Summer List: Happy Day Challenge #9

With this Friday marking our last day of school (!!!!!), it’s got me thinking hardcore about summer plans. We’ve got a couple trips planned, a few camps, but mostly we’re not big into busy summers around here. Summer means Bomb Pops dripping down your arm and slip ‘n’ slides with a side of Banana Boat tanning oil. It’s a simple season. Simple meals, simple fun.
We make a big ol’ list of fun things we want to do every summer, but starting last year I started to make one just for me. It’s my break too. No school, no lesson planning, break!!
Now if you’ve looked at my Summertime pinterest board, you’re probably thinking I’m going to be drunk all summer due to the amount of boozy drinks I’ve pinned. Don’t ask me what that’s about, for some reason pineapple ritas and a chlorinated pool are directly related in my opinion. But there is more on my summer list than just rum and oranges…๏ปฟ

Here’s my list for this summer…๏ปฟ
And this, Mamas, is your challenge for next week…write up a summer list just for you. Here’s my list from last summer if you need more ideas…๏ปฟ

I know some of you don’t start summer for a while, but it can’t hurt to plan right?? I can’t wait to see what you’re doing this summer!

  1. Ekk!! What a cute idea. That is a good lookin' list. Especially the part about reading Jane Eyre! I love me some Rochester!!

  2. I WON!???? I freaking won?!!! Oh I'm beyond excited. I Don't win things very often. I think that makes me a loser. I try not to let that get me down. LOL Thank you sweet Jarod!!

I need to make a list. I tell you though, I'm a little crazy in the head with lists right now, because my man has applied for a job that would certainly move us and it's looking very possible this time… Did I tell you that already? It's a new development. Basically I think I need a poolside summer with some of those drinks you've been pinning. LOL That's my list. I kid… but they do sound yummy!

  3. loving your list! I think I might steal a few ideas ๐Ÿ˜‰ I didn't blog about it but I am on the hunt for the perfect red for my lips! So excited! xo

  4. You are just the cutest thing! Loving your summer list. I hope to join you on some of those things. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Such a superb idea, lady. Love your list, though I got to say "plan the school year" sounds a little sketchy taking-a-BREAK-wise. ๐Ÿ™‚ Suppose, that part will be a blessing to you in the peace of mind dept. If your serious about the ten pounds thing, I'll maybe sign up for five…maybe. Maybe we should chat ๐Ÿ˜‰ Did you really host a garden dinner party last year?…have to look it up. Sounds dreamy.

  6. Even though I'm not a momma, I'm so doing this! Oh, and when you make that summer night gown, can you make me one?? I'm not joking. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great day, Alicia! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I sooooo envy your ability to be able to go to the beach this summer! It's the one thing I miss about not living in Florida anymore. Have a fantastic summer and enjoy every moment!

  8. I couldn't agree more about the drinks by the pool with the smell of banana boat sun tan oil. Love that about summer! Your list looks great!

  9. i hope you are making the boozy list for us…ha! i'm thinking a nice frozen margarita would do wonders as we are laying by the pool gettin' our tan on. can't wait.

  10. I think it is a good idea to plan because it gives you fun things to look forward to! ๐Ÿ˜€ NIce lists….did you do all of the things on last year's list! It was great, too.

  11. I am visiting from Carissa's place and I so enjoyed reading your posts! Nice to meet you and am following you now- not sure exactly what the Happy Day Project is so I will check. Looks fun!
