It’s Looking Up
My last post was a bit of a frantic rant but I think I’ve come a ways up the path of peace in the last few days. A little ways (still haven’t found that roach…or whatever it was.)
Our weekend was laid back and full.
Jarrod got a new car and solved the car issue.
We ate (surprisingly) good food considering we’ve cut out about 50% of what we usually eat.
We went to the farmers market.
The kids swam.
It rained.
We had a spontaneous trip to IKEA yesterday.
The kids got along.
I’ve had some time to think by myself this morning and it was good for me. Looking at these pictures reminds me how things in the beginnings can turn out so differently than we originally think. I have been struggling with Mondays but today I want to switch that around. I’m reflecting and planning. (and hoping I never see that creepy roach again.)
What are you up to today?

Just so you know….I love your transparency.
It never gets old.
This is wonderful to hear it's all coming together, keep strong!
So glad you had a good weekend, Alicia! And that you made it too Ikea, too! =) I totally understand what you mean about Mondays. I think for myself I was getting into a habit of being grumpy on Monday, you know? And I don't want to make grumpiness a habit!
Love the pics of Vera, as always. =)
I'm so happy to hear the challenge is going well!! The car issue is solved…hooray! We may be in the same situation soon…my hubby refuses to get a "newer" car and his is on its last leg. Today, I am trying to start being disciplined with my routine. I am starting to panic a bit with this hs gig, I am about to embark on. As the summer gets closer to an end, the more I am questioning myself. I'm scared!!
Im sitting in the dentist chair and its not a good visit. 🙁
Is the forest your backyard? That's just not fair! Have a great week!
I cannot tell you how much this post delights my heart. Those pictures are precious. I cannot believe how big Vera is getting!
I am SO glad to hear you've had no more sightings of that 'very large beetle'.
We have a very chill day today, so let's chat. Miss you.
Many blessings on this busy season in your life.
Fondly,
Glenda
