I Tried Homeaglow: My 2026 Homeaglow Cleaning Review

For me, that season happened right after I dropped my daughter off at college.
After weeks of preparing, packing, organizing, driving 1,000+ miles, helping her get settled, and then making the long trip home, I walked through my own front door and thought, I really don’t want to clean this house right now.
So when I had the opportunity to try Homeaglow house cleaning services, the timing could not have been better.
I scheduled a cleaning, added a few of the extra services I knew I wouldn’t get around to myself, and then let someone else take care of the house for the day.
And coming home to a clean house after an emotional and exhausting few weeks was pretty wonderful.
What Is Homeaglow?
Homeaglow is a house cleaning platform that connects homeowners with local cleaning professionals.
One of the things I appreciated right away was how simple the process was. I didn’t have to spend hours calling different cleaning companies, comparing availability, or trying to figure out exactly what I needed.
I was able to set up my cleaning and schedule an appointment online, which made the whole process very straightforward.
And for someone who was already juggling a million things, easy was exactly what I wanted.
Scheduling My Homeaglow Cleaning
The scheduling process couldn’t have been easier, and I really appreciated that.
I was able to choose the cleaning service I wanted and schedule it for a time that worked for me. There wasn’t a long back-and-forth trying to coordinate a day and time.
Once the appointment was scheduled, I knew exactly when someone would be coming to clean.
That meant I could move on to all of the other things on my list.
And, at this particular point in my life, that was a big deal!
It was incredibly convenient after so many weeks of prepping for this transition and all the emotions that followed those days after getting home to just have something DONE that I didn’t have to worry about.
I Added On Some Extra Cleaning
One of the things I really appreciated about my Homeaglow experience was being able to add on some of those cleaning jobs that tend to get pushed to the bottom of my own list.
For my cleaning, I added cleaning out the refrigerator and cleaning the oven.
Those are two jobs I absolutely can do myself. But let’s be honest: they’re also two jobs that I am very good at putting off.
And when someone else is already there cleaning the house, it makes so much sense to have them tackle those bigger jobs at the same time.
The cleaner ended up being at my house for about six hours, which gave her plenty of time to really work through the house and take care of the additional cleaning I had requested.

There’s something so satisfying about opening a clean refrigerator or looking at a freshly cleaned oven—especially when you didn’t have to do it yourself!

I love taking before-and-after photos because sometimes it’s hard to appreciate how much a cleaning makes a difference until you actually see the two photos side by side.
And having someone spend several hours working through the house meant that the result wasn’t just a quick tidy-up. There was time to really get things clean.
What I Loved About Having My House Cleaned
The obvious answer is that I loved having a clean house.
But honestly, the bigger benefit for me was having one less thing on my plate.
There are times in life when I have plenty of energy to clean my house. There are other times when cleaning is simply one more thing competing for my attention.
This happened to be one of those times.

Is Homeaglow Worth Trying?
For me, the biggest win was how easy the whole experience was.
I didn’t have to figure out how to fit a deep cleaning into an already packed schedule. I didn’t have to spend my first days home from college drop-off cleaning appliances. I didn’t have to spend six hours doing the work myself.
Instead, I scheduled the appointment, added the extra services I wanted, and then let someone else handle it.
And after an especially full season of life, that felt like a gift.
Would I still clean my own house most of the time? Absolutely.
But would I delegate this task to make some space during busy seasons, after or before a big event, before the holidays, or when I simply need to get caught up?
Definitely.
Sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves isn’t finding a way to squeeze one more task into our schedule.
