Less Stress Science Curriculum: A Look at No Sweat Nature Study Membership

While that might sound overly dramatic, this really can be the case with so many curriculums out there. Having experienced this myself, it makes me so incredibly thankful for our No Sweat Nature Study membership. We have incorporated these nature study lessons into our homeschool for years, creating fun and engaging science lessons with very little stress.

What’s Inside the No Sweat Nature Study Membership?
- Two 30-60 minute live nature study classes each month taught by Mrs. Cindy, allowing the bulk of the subject to be taught by someone else.
- Each live class is planned around a theme. Many times the class is planned around what’s happening that month. Think: Cranberry class in November for Thanksgiving. Polar Bears in the middle of winter. So fun!
- Classes feature nature journaling, bringing art into the mix and making the classes fun and engaging.
- Each class includes supplemental learning resources such as printable word search pages, hands-on extension ideas, research-based project ideas, nature walk prompts, and curated booklists.
- The video library! This is a giant collection of past No Sweat Nature Study classes. Wonderful if you want to pull from the older classes, find a class your child is interested in, or study something that goes along with another topic you’re studying.
No Sweat Nature Study Membership: What I’m Loving
We have been using No Sweat Nature Study since its beginning. As my kids have gotten older, we have used the classes differently. Some years we have used them as a supplement to other studies. Other years, we have used the classes as our sole science curriculum–I have loved those years! From year to year we have used the classes differently and there are a number of things I love about No Sweat Nature Study!
- Access to TONS of recorded classes and bonus videos available at any time–I’m telling you, the Video Library is amazing!
- Allows for flexibility to come back to watch and learn even if you can’t make the live lesson. We can rarely make it to the live classes, but that’s ok because we can access them later or reach back into the video library for a topic we want to explore.
- Promotes family learning, making it a versatile option for families with children of multiple ages. Anything we can do all together, I love!
How We’ll Be Using No Sweat Nature Study This Year
My plan for the coming school year is to go lighter on Fridays and work in some much-needed breaks throughout the year, while still doing “school” on some of those breaks. The breaks are mostly for me! I intend to still assign school work to the girls during those breaks, so No Sweat Nature Study will be at the ready.
I’ll be using the amazing holiday content during special times of the year and the wonderful seasonal classes and I can’t wait to see the nature journals afterwards.
It’s a goal of mine to do at least two nature lessons a month, go on walks, and add nature journal entries for each of those lessons and walks. I’m getting so excited for this school year!
