Homeschooling Day in the Life: Brooke, Homeschooling Mom of Two Children, Living in Nebraska

A homeschool day in the life looks different almost every day, right? Over on our Instagram page, we love to give you a peek into lots of homeschool days regardless of how they change day to day.
Today, we’re going to give you a peek into the homeschool day in the life of Brooke, homeschooling mom of two children, living in Nebraska.
We can all learn and be inspired by one another, regardless of our homeschool approach. It’s not about looking good for social media, it’s about the connection going on inside our homeschool walls and sharing with others what works for us.

We might all homeschool a little differently, but we can always look for ideas from each other that inspire, encourage and equip us in our own homeschool days. So each week we create blog posts for you to access later of each of those “days in the life”. We hope you keep coming back for more inspiration. Keep going, mama! These days at home are so worth it!
Meet Brooke

Brooke @thegorgeousgrace is a homeschooling mom living in Omaha, Nebraska! Her kids are in first and third grade and this is their third year homeschooling.
She loves the joy of seeing her children learn something that was once hard for them, and celebrating their growth and development. It’s such a rewarding part of homeschooling!
Good Morning + Welcome!
Hey friends!!! I am Brooke from @thegorgeousgrace and I am thrilled to be here with you today! Here is a quick intro to our day!!
Our Wednesday’s are our BUSY days for homeschool! This morning we are off to BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and we LOVE it! After that, we come home, start school and get some chores done then head out for city group on Wednesday nights!!
The Flexibility of Homeschooling

There are many things I LOVE about homeschooling. I LOVE seeing my kids push past personal boundaries and complete hard tasks! I love just BEING with my kids. And I LOVE the flexibility of homeschooling! We are regularly packing up our backpacks and going out to coffee shops, library’s, the zoo, and local park.
While we have the classroom of my dreams, we also love the coffee table, the couch, the kitchen island, kitchen table, and sitting on top of our desks.
Pacing With Curriculum

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in the last year is that there is no such thing as being “on pace” with our homeschool curriculum. Sometimes, we excel in certain subjects and other times, we drag our feet. One of the most healthy things you can do when you feel yourself “pacing” is to remind yourself that it’s most important to instill the love of learning than it is to do the actual learning of “xyz”.
Our upmost goal, to glorify God and enjoy him (and things around us!)
Important Things to Remember
Hey Siri, remind me of all of these things again tomorrow. 💕
Thank you so much to Brooke for sharing your family’s day with us!
