three bullet points.

Things to Share with Blog Friends:

  • I am an obsessed teenager.  I'm on the third Hunger Games book and um, you could say I'm obsessed. When all is said and done, I will have read three books in less than two weeks. That is probably a first for me. I'm a slow reader so ya, I'm pretty proud of myself. I've been sucked in big time. I know I've told you that, but really I have. I secretly pretend I'm a rebel to the Capitol, like I crank it up to 50 in a 45 or something crazy like that.

I also secretly think I'm Katniss. I came to that realization while getting ready for church yesterday. I chose my accessories based on things I thought Katniss might wear. Of course I would never tell anyone this except Jarrod (oh and you guys apparently). I decided to ask his opinion during church.
Our conversation went like...(whispered of course, we're in church people)
Me: Hey! If Katniss was going to church don't you think she'd wear earrings like this?
Jar: unenthused smile
Me. And don't you think she'd wear this leather cuff?
Jar: another smile like the first one
Me: Don't you think I kinda look like Katniss today in general. (he's reading them now too so he knows what I'm talking about.)
Jar: You would really look like her if your hair was braided.
Me: Dammit! (I know I was in church. Don't judge me. I was upset. Jar had burst my bubble, yet again. He could've just humored me, ya know??)

  • My baby is FOUR. Today. I am surprisingly ok with this milestone. I am transitioning further and further from babydom and it feels kinda good. Anyway, she's bigger today. I love my little bug like a crazy lady. She completes our family like some sweet strawberry icing on our family cake. We're celebrating today with a garden party in the park...pray for no rain!

  • The Happy Day Project! Challenge #1 is due on Wednesday! Don't forget. This is gonna be super fun! If you haven't a clue of what I'm speaking of, click here for more information
That's all for now. See you soon!

Alicia! Haha I LOVE that you are sucked in to The Hunger Games. They are so good... Although, honestly, I hate how they end. However... I'm so with you on thinking your Katniss. A girl would be crazy to not wanna be her... Just sayin'...

What a goose ; ) - cute that he gets you. I did just get my copy of the first Hunger book in the mail but scared to start - I get so engrossed with these kind of books, too, nothing will get done! And happy birthday to that sweet little girl - hope you have a lovely party!

I'll be interested to hear what you think of the ending. I read a big long article in our newspaper today all about how they filmed in Shelby (teeny weeny NC mountain town nearish to you and where my mom grew up) I'll have to send it to you so you can get all of the behind the scenes scoop on the movie and sound like you're in the know.

PS. that clown totally freaks me out. Sophie is the only cute thing in that pic!

Hey, Alicia, I thought I owned bullet points. :-)

Love your church chat.

I went to the nursery and bought a plant of tiny daffodils, enjoyed it for a day, forgot to take a picture and then gave it to a friend for her birthday.

Can't wait for the next happy day project.

Fondly,
Glenda

Okay this seals it. YOu and I are so totally friends in real life. I just need to meet you.

I would have done the exact same thing and I'm so flipping excited you're reading it.

Also. I love that you said damnit on your blog. I say it in text sometimes to my most trusted friends becuase for some reason it's the swear that makes me laugh when I read it. I don't actually SAY it much... I try not to swear and all.... just saying.
