a request

Grandpa Bill and my nephew, Christian

Tomorrow my dad is having a major surgery. It's a big deal. This whole thing has been like a big dark cloud for several weeks now, hanging over all our heads. He's of course very anxious and nervous.

I am too.

I'm now 1500 miles away from him.
I haven't seen my dad in five months and won't till May.
Being this far the one thing I can do is pray for him...
I'm also asking if you guys would too.

He needs prayers for some major peace today.
Pray for the doctor's hands to be guided and meticulous.
Pray for them to grab every last one of those nasty cancer cells they're going in after.
Pray for a quick recovery.

It feels wrong to have guests right now...I'm so sidetracked.
If you think about me today, please pray for my family.
Thanks, girls.

xo,
{alicia}

Praying girlie. See if they'll let you go for a walk and you can just give it over. It will make you feel so much better.

praying right now

when my dad was sick
a few weeks ago
i felt so helpless
being 900 miles away

but prayer is no small thing
and the Holy Spirit
is drawing near to you both
every time you call on Him

i hope that your sweet dad
recovers in no time at all

My dad had major surgery a few years ago and I was beside myself. It's so hard when it happens.
So I will pray for peace & a successful surgery!

Oh Lish! I will be praying! Can't imagine your heart right now. Any time your heart starts to feel anxious, just say a quick prayer. That's what I'll be doing for you and your family today too. SO wish I could give you a squeeze right now! Love you!

we will be praying hard for you, your dad, and your family sweetie!

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

much love to you.

Sending him healing thoughts! Bill (Mr. Warren) was so good to me and my mom when we lived in Faulkton. I will never forget his kindness and acceptance and good heart. Praying hard for him, Alicia.

You and your Dad and whole family will be in my prayer. I know that restless nervous feeling before going to the hospital. Mine wasn't serious but I was a nervous wreck the night before. I'll be praying!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up Alicia's father to you. We pray for the doctors who are working on him. May you guide their hands and keep their minds sharp and focused during the procedure. Surround him with your loving, healing arms.
Be with Alicia and her family during this time. Wrap them in your comfort. Provide them with peace and assurance in your plan.
Your will be done and we pray for patience as we wait for it to unfold.
In your name we pray, Amen.

Girl, I'm sorry. This is hard. I watched my dad battle cancer when I was 9. Praying for peace and a blessed assurance that God has things covered.

sorry to learn of your father's illness. i will add more prayers to those already said, for your father, you and the rest of your family - and everyone else's, too (including my own).

may you all have peace and comfort, healing from illness, pain and/or whatever (else) may be troubling you - through the grace and mercy of most-wonderful God.
