27 minutes

I am not a political activist.
I do not make a habit of using this blog to promote campaigns.

But...
I am a mama. My babies are everything to me.
I cannot fathom putting them to bed every night with the fear of them not being there in the morning.
Some mamas live that way.

We all have 27 minutes to spare.
How much time everyday do we spend reading blog posts about slipcovers and coffee cake?
Just watch this...it's an amazing cause and beautifully done.

I know what the critiques will say, that this organization doesn't use their funds well or the right way.
You can read their answers to the critiques HERE.

Sometimes the "life isn't fair" card is too easy to draw.
Sometimes we need to look beyond our bubble. I'm guilty of this often.
Sometimes there is something we can do...even if it's a little thing...like sharing this on Facebook or a $5 donation.

I am officially moved.
I look at my kids and see their innocence.
A lot of kids are not that fortunate.
Maybe we can do something about that...

Hopping off my soapbox and doing a dramatic curtsy,

Love your blog. Seriously. Been reading it for months. We share alot of the same tunes on our playlists! :)
I, too, felt compelled to share this today and did on my FB business page. What a powerful video it is. Hard to watch, but sometimes we need "hard" to open up our eyes.
Thank you for being you pretty lady!

LOVE the new place by the way! Bye bye yucky carpet! ;)

LOVE this. As a high school teacher of a class called African-Asian Studies, I showed the different Invisible Children videos to my students for the last 5 years. This year I "retired" to stay at home with my son, but I really believe that they're a great organization with the best of intentions. Thanks for sharing this!

I 100% completely agree! So many ppl are criticizing this video and it's creators right now but no matter what it's an eye opener for us 'spoiled' Americans. I also feel like no matter what I choose to donate or not donate we all need to pray hard that this evil man will be found and taken DOWN!

This video brought tears to my eyes & I gave my boys a few extra hugs & kisses tonight :) I read a book called "Kisses from Katie" last summer and it popped my bubble alright! That book and videos like this really open our eyes to what is going on beyond our doorstep. After reading her book, I realized that there IS SOMETHING I CAN DO. Love, pray & share our blessings...saving ONE child at a time! Thanks for sharing this powerful video & I hope and pray that they catch this evil man.

(If you want to know more about her book or ministry for feeding & schooling the children in Uganda, the website is: http://www.amazima.org/katiesbook.html )
