Can you believe that I'm still tired from the long weekend?!
Is that even possible???
Well it's been a tough go the last couple of days. Trying to get back on track after a
We did manage a little Art Camp yesterday with our friends and oh my word! did they turn out cute!!
Here's a little peek:
But first, the update part.
We did this project a couple weeks ago and I hadn't posted on it yet....
in the meantime, this little tree rat moved in...thinking he was part of Art Camp.
I assure you, he was NOT part of Art Camp.
He was never invited and it sure is rude to show up uninvited.
Using dollar store bird feeders, we decoupaged them with tissue paper, creating these really sweet little bird abodes.
(not squirrel houses!)
And would you just look at what this little brat did!?!
I am thoroughly convinced that this squirrel suffers from severe obsessive compulsive disorder. He needs help. He needs prayer.
The perch, in the grass. Ok? Squirrels are not our friends.
Moving on to happier things...
{Yard Flags}
These are just the sweetest things ever!Four squares of muslin (ours were 5x9 in.). Sew to a ribbon with extras on the end for tying.
Draw a simple design with oil pastels (man, i love those things).
And fill in the design with watered-down acrylics.
{Jack's}
his name, earth, icicles?, and a light saber...
nothing like a little random, eh?
{Sophie's}
heart, star, star, rainbow
(i may or may not have helped a titch with those stars and heart)
{Noah}
light saber, light saber, sun, rocket
(because yard art is never complete without a little Star Wars.)
Love these.
Love.
{Mosaic Bricks}
Talk about a project where the kids are more excited about the prep work then the actual project...they got to smash old plates and flower pots....with a hammer. :)
Apply a little mortar to the top of a brick and stick away.
Just use any random thing you've got around...screws, buttons, rocks, whatever.
{Jack's}
{Sophia's}
{Noah's}
I'm loving this whole Art Camp thing we're doing.
We've made so many fun things for the garden and yard.
If you've missed the previous projects, you can click HERE.
We're using THIS ebook as a guide.
SO many fun things to do....
our Art Camp partners are leaving town for a few weeks, so we're taking a break. :(
But we'll be back!
Back with gazing balls, marshmallow shooters and more!!
Hope you're having a great Thursday!
Hey wait, how can it be Thursday already?!

I just LOVE those banners! ESPECIALLY the star wars one!!! That's just CRAZY about that squirrel!!
Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. OH MY GOODNESS! Clearly your squirrel is crazy! You are so right! He does need prayer!
Your art camp looks awesome. What fun! I LOVE the projects the kids are making. Totally cool! Creative people rock my world. So fun!
oooh, i think those banners will need to make an appearance on the finished tree fort.
your squirrels are as bad as mine - i'm at war with ours - even approved jesse's purchase of an air rifle after one gnawed a hole in my kitchen window screen to get at food on the counter.
i love the idea of art camp.
