FAIRY GARDENS + GNOME HOMES

At the beginning of summer, I bought an ebook HERE
with some great project ideas for the yard or garden.
My homeschooling mama friend and I decided to use the book
as an Art Camp, getting together once a week to do the
projects together with our kids.

Yesterday was Fairy Gardens…or um, Gnome Homes, for the boys.
They were a little put off by the fairy thing.
Understandably so.

First they painted and decorated a little wooden house,
Micheal’s $1.

Then they build their gardens.
We used big ol’ bowls from the Dollar Store and drilled holes in the bottom for storage.
Then added pea gravel, potting soil, plants, and then
pea gravel again to make the gardens.

Then I had them run around the yard, finding anything they thought could be part of their fantasy yard.
Rocks, leaves, flowers, etc.

The book even had an idea of a fairy/gnome clothes line.
How cute is that?!

I’m sorry, but pleeeease tell me something cuter then these!! ๐Ÿ™‚
I can’t get over them.
I think I love fairy dish gardens.
Yes, I do.
And with my whole heart too.

  1. Greetings! Actually Gnome Homes are found in the extensions of tree trunks with an opening to the hidden realms. They can also be found as an opening beneath a tree however they are always seen as an extension of the base of the tree.
We have captured many photos of gnomes at the base of trees and they are not garden statues, for they are real and do come from another world. They are members of the Faerie Realm, however they are not Fairies. They are their own clan and group for each area of the world. You are blessed to connect with them and to honor their presense. We shared this world through a new set of eyes with our Enchanted Walkabouts. Be In Joy and keep up the great work!

  2. So sweet Alicia, when my 15 year old and 8 year old daughters were 3 and 10 I was homeschooling with Waldorf and really into all the fairies and wood and Waldorf dolls. My older daughter used to make houses for her little sister and leave little notes in them for her to find.
