at home with the strahles.

Ok. If I'm going to tell y'all (ya, i was serious about that) about my trip to the Outer Banks, I have
to start at the beginning or it just won't be ok.

Getting to the airport to fly us to the heavenly beaches required us to drive into Minneapolis, which I was fine with because that meant I could see Becky...my sweet blog friend, who I feel like I can remove the "blog" part, and just call her my friend...who I just happened to meet through blogging.

We flew out on Sunday night and had the whole day to kill before we left...so we, as in my whole fam, got to spend the day with the Strahles!  I've met Becky before, but when your hubbies are going to meet, that's a whole other thing.  They are not the blog buds, they're just along for the ride!
I think they both felt a little aprehensive, but it turned out so great...they hit it off right away.

We laughed a lot, our kids played together.
It was one of those times where you're wondering why you're not neighbors.
And to think our paths would have never probably collided had it not been for blogging...so crazy, but soo cool.

Our kids were so sweet together. They played soccer and restaurant :)  Then before we left, Ms. Big Chick gave us all a concert and played one of her music pieces. The kids were mesmerized.

I got to see where Becky creates her beautiful paintings and her cuffs and necklaces that we all loooove!
Everything in her space was so "Becky."  Fun, colorful, wimsical...just how you'd picture it.

I just love this chick...she laughs because she's a whole 10 years older than me :)
I don't think friendship has an age barrier...we have a great time together.
What a great way to start our trip!
xo, Ms. Becky :) Thanks for the fun day!

There's so many more of you I'd love to meet.  If I would just take a road trip west, there's about 10 stops I'd make!

Be back tomorrow with trip pics!

Bye, y'all :)

It's so nice that there are real friendships to be made through blogging. tHank you for stopping by today. It was nice to hear from you!

When are you roadtripping to Chicago. (It is really hot today, maybe come in September.)

You and Becky are so cute. I always love having friends my own age, 10 years older and 10 years younger. It is one of my pretty consistent goals.

Fondly,
Glenda
