virtual coffee: busy, busy

Good Morning, Peeps!
Does anyone else feel like it should still be the first week in April opposed to the first week in May?!?
Well, I do.
It's been an absolute whirlwind around here and it's not getting any better!

I am not a person that enjoys chaos...really, is anyone?
Ya, I think they're out there.
I like lots of time for bug hunting, sandbox time, watercolor painting.
Our kids are not even in that many activities at all....May is just: BUSY.
Here's what we've been up to:

{School Projects}
(more on those tomorrow)

{Homeschool Activities}

Last week was our Annual Project Fair, which the kids love.
They take all their projects to display for the other families and showcase what they've done all year.
Also last week, our homeschool group hosted an open house for the community to come and ask a panel of us questions about homeschooling.
It was very well attended and it was so much fun talking to others about something I love!

{Baseball}

Lots of games....lots of practices.

{Parade of Homes}

Did you catch my house on Toni's Parade of Homes yesterday?
If not, click HERE for a tour of my home.
It was a lot of fun and there's sooo many cool houses on this parade.
You should totally check it out.

{Etsy Stuff}

I've been creating my little fingers off lately.
I put out a little garden line, which debuted on Sunday.
There's so much more I'd like to make, but it's the time issue...
If you're interested, I'm offering free shipping all week in my shop.
Just enter the code: MAMA11 when you check out.
(sorry, domestic US peeps only)

So, ya...it's been a bit busy, but it's good busy.
We made the executive decision as a family this past weekend that we are NOT taking part in any organized summer activities.
*GASP*
I know, terrible right??
No baseball, tennis lessons, nada.
Just parks, pools, and picnics....
did I just make a rhyme?
:)

Have a great day, my sweet friends.

xo,
{alicia}

Wow, you are busy! March is usually our busiest month, but I think with Easter being so late this year, it threw everything "off." I enjoyed your home tour yesterday!

Ah, good choice for the summer, after the busyness of your spring. I wondered if your etsy shop went crazy after your great article.

BTW, I saved a copy. Would you like it?

Fondly,
Glenda

Yeah. Cannot believe it's May already. Sounds like you'll have quite the busy month - probably good you're taking a bit of a break over the summer! It's always good to recharge.

We made the same decision too about organized summer activities. I had planned on putting my daughter into a running club every Tuesday and horseback riding lessons every Thursday. Then I remembered what it was like for me as a kid to have free time, especially in the summer. What a great feeling. Now she's just going to run with her momma and ride the neighbor's horses every now and then. Bonus: She's just as happy with that as with the organized stuff! :o)

I completely understand, as I have been feeling overwhelmed myself lately. My oldest is going to Prom(we have yet to find the dress) and will be graduating this June. My youngest has promotion coming up soon too (and needs a fancy dress also), as well as indoor soccer games, birthdays, more school events....when will summer be here???
