{virtual coffee}

Blog people are so cool.  Like they come up with these fun ideas like having virtual coffee, since we're all friends but we can't have coffee because we live in opposite sides of the country...or the world.
And we have our real-life friends over for coffee right? Well, today you're comin over too.

What's the first thing you always talk about at coffee....weather? Right?
Well yesterday's weather was definitely something to talk about...gorgeous sun, light breeze, 70 degrees.
My kids were out for most of the afternoon.
They slept like rocks!

I sure sign of spring at our house: freckles are back.

Just for the sake of fun, I decided to shoot all my photos in manual yesterday.
It's not that easy for a newbie, so I was pretty impressed that 20 out of 100 pics turned out.
I do love learning something new and photography has been a blast to learn.

Yesterday I made my kids french toast for breakfast.  I was feeling pretty good about myself, preparing a real, hot breakfast....num!  Sorry, I was too busy with the french toast to make you anything...sorry.

Oh, these? Ya, my hub brought those home from work the other day.
It's only the last of about 4 gifts he's bought for me in the last month or so.
I don't know if I should be worried or what...he's a great gift-giver, but it's never usually random gift giving...it's usually bday, anniversary, etc.
But ya, in the last month I've gotten the new Adele cd (lovin that!), a photography book, flowers, camera accessory...hmmm. Should I be worried?
:)

We've been working on some springy projects around here.
More of these later....

I'll be waiting on the sidewalk for my mail carrier all week this week....
something important is on it's way!
More on that later too.

I had a very productive day yesterday.
Don't you just love those days??
I stripped all the bedding, washed it, made beds, dusted and vacuumed all the bedrooms,
had a light salad for lunch....

This week is our last week of the Middle Ages for school.
I let the kids go through the 5,000 activity/project books I'd bought for this year and let them pick things they wanted to do.
Noah's working on a pretty complex catapult.
I think today we're making swords and shields.

Well that's it, I guess I'll leave on the swords and shields note.
Thanks so much for coming over for coffee.
You know I wish I could have you over for reals.
But virtual coffee is a great idea :)

See you next time!

Hi! Hopping over for coffee... or tea. Love tazo's chai.

Great job using manual. The manual setting scared me for so long, but once I started using it, I couldn't stop. :)

Love your fish salad and the adorable freckles.

Have a great day!

Nice to meet you! I'm trying to learn to use my camera on M, too. It's so hard. I'm thinking of taking a class this summer. I love it when I strip the beds and clean the rooms.... it's a great feeling!

I enjoyed spending a coffee break with you! I need to learn how to use the manual mode on my camera too. I've tried it here and there, but haven't had real success. Wish I was truly there so you could show me because your photos came out beautifully!

Thanks for the coffee! It's finally getting a bit warmer here as well. Today is my day of getting things done, stripping beds, laundry, etc. Enjoy your day!

I just discovered how to use the manual setting on my camera and I am lovin' playing with it.

Thanks for coffee!

And I applaud you because you homeschool your kids - that takes a gift that not everyone has. Bravo!

I would love to have coffee at your house. Even if it is virtually.

Maybe your husband has a case of spring fever. What ever it is, enjoy every minute/gift! My tulips are coming up but it will still be a few weeks until there are blooms. I may have to go and buy myself some before!
