Good morning, friends :)
It's going to be a quick coffee today...there's a lot on the list today!
Heck there's a lot on the list this week!
Softball practice, baseball practice, 5 games, 2 homeschool functions, and a bridal shower...
hmmmm, what else could we pack in?
I hope your Easter weekend was good.
There's something about holidays that when they are over, it makes me want to clean, like a maniac.
There's something about holidays that when they are over, it makes me want to clean, like a maniac.
Yesterday, I spent a few hours outside raking, clipping, clearing dead stuff.
I tackled the kids' area.
I threw away a whole garbage can full of toys.
This photo does not do me any justice, because you can't see how bad it looked before,
but just trust me...it looks good.
I'm glad I cleaned it up yesterday because it's sprinkling out this morning.
I've been doing "storytime" with a friend and her kids for the past few weeks.
Today is my turn and we'll read Diary of a Worm and then we're making wormeries!
Oh, what fun :)
And speaking of bugs, I have ANTS in my living room! Just a few, here and there, but still...ants!
Why my living room?
Ugh!
pillow orders and a new line of garden things,
but all I want to sew is little skirts for Sophie!
It's all I can think about...I think I just need to sew a couple to get it out of my system!
It doesn't help that my mom just bought me the cutest fabric ever...
And I bought myself this adorable piece....

Easter is over and here's what's left....
Is it bad that I kind of want to throw everything away??
I'm on such a throwing away rampage right now...do you get like that?
Now, I better get going...I have to attend to this now :(
(sorry for the blurry pic...i was a little shaken to come around the corner and face THIS head on!)
Have a great day!

Funny you should mention that tutorial for the skirts...it had been bugging me ever since I saw it too ;) But...I actually had some time yesterday and made 3 little skirts for my 4 year old. Easy peasy! Have a wonderful day!
i need to go outside so badly. i started to clean our covered porch, it had turned into a disaster zone!!
i hope you get a lot done today, that was me yesterday!!!
Hey sweetie!
I know exactly.how.
you.feel about wanting
to purge and clean and
clear and just generally
go to town after a
holiday!!! I've still
got cards strewn around
from my b-day and Easter
stuff that needs to be
on its merry way : ) I
am going to pop over to
your shop ~ you make the
cutest things!! Hope your
sprinkles haven't turned
into the DELUGE that we
are experiencing, here!
xx Suzanne
I think the throw away everything has to do with our spring cleaning instincts, because I get that way too! Everything either ends up in the dumpster or in a box for goodwill! I'm hoping to get everything put away from our Easter weekend since yesterday I mainly focused on outside. Rain is the only thing that seems to be keeping us in, we just want to be outside all day!
I have 6 weeks and then I'll have some time to throw stuff away. I cannot wait until schools out and my house is clean again. I am ripping up the carpet and staining the concrete floors in our basement this summer, I am so excited!! And yes I also wanted to throw away alot of junk this morning!
I love to get things in order after a holiday, too. I call it "sprucing", so my family doesn't totally freak out. I can't call it "purging" for sure.
Fondly,
Glenda
GARDEN LINE????? Will this be ready for Mother's Day? I have been known to buy my own mother's day present- it works well for the whole family. :)And I hear ya sistah on the purging! Especially with homeschooling- I feel like I have papers and projects everywhere! And I've decided you need to make a little road trip to MT because I want to sew skirts too- but um . . . I don't know how to sew. But I have a pretty sewing machine I convinced my hubbie that I needed. What do you say? Road trip?? Hee hee!!
I get in those moods all the time. It is better than holding on to stuff you don't need! I hate over flowing closets and rooms because of too much stuff! Have fun tossing!
Your fabric is adorable. Have fun!
The yard looks beautiful Alicia!!
And so nice to have coffee with you today...
Can you pass some of that "I want to clean" energy over my way? :)

oh how I remember days where I had games for all three girls. One playing at the High school, one playing at the middle school and one playing at the elementary...yeah, I lived to tell the tale! :)
Oh, and I don't even have kids living at home anymore (empty nest) and my laundry basket looks like yours! :)
Loved the coffee talk. I hope you get some time alone with your sewing machine soon. That fabric just begs to make something darling. Good luck with the cleaning. I love tossing stuff....it is so liberating ;D
