{portraiture} i like that word

the photog class i've been taking is almost over...one week to go.
last week was all about taking portrait shots, or portraiture...i really do enjoy that word.
portraiture.
anyway, we have the option of bringing photos to show off our cam skills, or lack there of :) and these are some of my favorite portraits as of late...is halloween recent?  something like that.

portraiture:

also, notice my subjects are all children...well, that's all i've got, baby! since i rarely let them near my camera, i've got a whole lotta pics of them and not alot of moi, but i would prefer it that way.
i would much rather be behind the lens, if you don't mind.

you also might notice most of my pics have a little girl baby in them.  well, no...it's not because she's my favorite or i love her more...it's just that she's always there. no matter what i'm doing...she's beside me, doing it too.
so naturally, she's more available for the mom paparazzi.

have a happy tuesday, sweets.

ps: i just wanted to say thank you so so much for all the sweeter-than-life comments on my "guinnea pig" post a few days ago.  really girls, you are some of the sweetest things ever and reading those comments (over and over) has blessed me so much! thank you :)

also, on another sidenote: i finally updated my "about" page.
at last! it says something other than a sad "coming soon"
yeah!

Ali, I think from now on Im going to adopt one of my hubbies words for you!

"mamarazzi"!

He came up with it after complaining my camera was always in their (they boys') faces.

I love that she is always with you!

your photography class sounds fun. my husband is a gifted photographer and he's taught me a few things over the years. when we first got married, i used to cut people's heads off!! so, i've made progresss! but, i love your pictures. i agree with becky, you are good!

Hi Alicia! Somehow I missed your "guinea pig" post. What a lovely story. I certainly enjoyed reading it and learning about you!

Your photos are outstanding. I would love to hear more details about the class, and perhaps you could give us some tips too! :)
