glorious day

dear blog friends,
Do you ever experience something  and you feel like you absolutely have to run to your
laptop to share it with your blog friends?
No, I'm not pregnant or I didn't win the Powerball or anything like that.
No...it just that I feel like I could do cartwheels through the snow right now.
Why, would you do that, you say?
Because!!!

I'm not sure if God thinks He's one big ol' comedian or what but it's been like *no joke*
50 degrees below zero. Um, that's like Arctic temps. Like deathly cold weather.
BUT today....oh, today....
I don't even know what the temp is, but it is sunshine-y beautiful, snow filled day!
I was outside with the kids for 2 hours this afternoon, sweating while I shoveled...
I don't normally do the shoveling, but I was in hog heaven....sun, beautiful...glorious sun!

It reminded me of what's to come.
Tulips and Daffodils blooming.
Big wet puddles of melty snow.
Rain boots and light jackets.

Comedian or no...we serve a glorious God, do we not?!

I didn't think you could ever sing praises while shoveling snow that came up to my hips, but you can...and I did!
Oh, and I had to write this post right away because I'm pretty sure I won't be able to lift my arms tomorrow ;)
I feel so full of vitamin D I could run a marathon, so maybe I should get my butt to work!
I hope you're having a great day, basking in the beautiful rays...with sun on your face and snow on your feet.

Yes, He's got an odd sense of humor, but oh, so glorious!

xoxo,
{alicia}

PS: the string of pics of me at the computer was jack's attempt at taking ONE picture of the sun coming in the window.  it turned into 78, literally.
"it's like rapid fire, mom!"
glorious.

I was excited about the sun today as well, Hayden on the other hand was disappointed that the snow was not melting from the sun. While we were driving to Preschool this morning he asked me why God was so naughty, I was so confused! He told me God is naughty for making it so cold all the time! I told him God is always good and knows best! but I could not help but giggle a little at a 4 year olds mind set! Stay warm!

Rapid fire - hahaha - only a BOY!

We went out yesterday, and it was cold. But not THAT cold. The VitD seems to have done us all good. Happy bambinos and renewed vigour to catch up on laundry. Kinda.

:-)
