I'm way behind in posting about our Common Mama party, (tues.) but here's a few pics from our little shin-dig :)
We decided to get together at my house and make a couple handmade gifts to share this Christmas.
I did not get hardly any pictures, but above is a shot of some jars of soup mix we made. It was a very simple, but functional gift.
After that, we made two projects with felt:
these little bow tie hairclips
and felt poinsettias.
We made a whole bunch and packaged them up real cute so they're all ready to give.
Here's Jen, modeling the little bow ties.
These were so fun to make...I made a bunch for Sophie's stocking :)
Then.......
on Thursday night, because I don't have enough projects going on and I was just getting bored ;) , my sweet friend Robin came over and
we made these sweet lil yarn ball wreaths....
{inspiration}
We just took two sizes of cheapo Christmas balls,
added a little hot glue and yarn....
...and viola!
I think I'm giving this as a gift as well...
handmade gifts are so much fun to give.
There's a little of "you" invested into it and it makes giving gifts all the more special.
Have a great weekend!
xo,
