This past weekend was full of activity...as are the weekends ahead going to packed also.
Not only did we get our tree and decorate, but we had lots of extra activities too.
Friday was our annual Christmas Craft Day with
our homeschool group.
The kids all came home with tons of crafts and more handmade ornaments to add to our "kid" tree.
I love watching my kids create things and how they all turn out so different. It's hard to not but in sometimes and say "uh, do it my way." But I'm always glad I didn't...just check out that snowman's face...priceless!
Then on Sunday.....
Our church is always doing some kind of crazy sermon series in which the whole foyer and stage is set up to go with that series.
we just got done with a series called "Flaws." (gossip, laziness, etc....nothing i could relate to of course :))
And the stage was set up like a beach scene with a huge lifeguard chair. Then they played "Jaws" music to go it the theme...very fun stuff!
For December, our pastor is preaching on "A Charlie Brown Christmas."
So the stage is set up like the tree lot with all the crazy colored trees.
Then in the foyer, they have a live nativity set up like the "Peanuts" version.
My kids were a part of it this week....
Notice Sophia is not part of the nativity...they didn't think she'd stand still long enough. What?! My daughter?! She always stands perfectly still, doing exactly what she's told :)
Maybe next year, Soph!
Lastly, Sunday also included a piano recital for Noah. I just now realized I don't have the pictures downloaded from that, but maybe I can add them later...I just heard little footsteps upstairs....my alone time is over.
I will be back later with some pics of some of the decorating chaos from this weekend too :)
Have a great day!
