Last Saturday night I made invited my family to watch "The Parent Trap" together.
The original Parent Trap, not the new one...sorry Lindsey Lohan.
There's just something about Hayley Mills that gets me!
Not everyone was on board with me right away...jarrod.
But once it got rolling...
What a great family movie!! I had actually forgotten how good it was!
We were all laughing (even sophie)!
But there really was a moral to learn, I thought.
There's just something about those two little girls getting their Mom and Dad back together again...it's so sweet! It made me realize how today, 50 years after this movie was made, how marriage has gone down the tubes so much more!
Divorce in 1961 was not so common as it is now.
Cheesy as this sounds, watching The Parent Trap all together as a family made me appreciate my marriage so much!
In fact, I felt urged to go snuggle next to my honey halfway through the "rekindle" part...so I did :)
I actually got a little teary...just thinking about our family not being all together.
If you have not seen this movie...RUN to the movie store and get it!
I would imagine that Amazon.com has it for probably $5!
It is so so good...you'll LOVE it!

So...today I'm thankful for:
My marriage...good and bad times...I'm so thankful :)

As a kid, this was one of my favorite movies. This and Pollyanna!
My girls and I watched it a few months back and they were like "hmmm, ok" they did like Pollyanna though. I guess you win some and you lose some!
I think I saw this once...a long time ago. I'll have to see if they have it on Netflix.
