I love peeking into other people's homes on blogs...or driving by real slow and peeking in their windows.
What?
Was that out loud? :)
I especially love looking at other people's school rooms...maybe it's just that I love seeing how other people do school.
So, in celebrating our first official week of school under our belts, I've decided to show you a peek at our school room.Come on in....
Here it is...our school room is a bedroom/toyroom converted to school room.
We also do some school around the dining room table and projects are done there too, but for the most part school is in the school room.
This is where I duct tape the little stinkers to their chairs and make them listen to me! :D
I love these little peeps. Noah was so quiet one day and I realized I hadn't seen him for like an hour. So...I found him crafting these little guys. He usually has them lined up like they're in school, listening to the teacher, but it looks like today they are acting a little unruly.
Books/Toys
I usually try to do some sort of display with books and whatever else we have to show off our current unit study. This week and next we're talking about Vikings, so here's all our books. If you're wondering what they're displayed in...well, it's an old chicken feeder. I found it at a junk store one day and it just ended up here...showing off our latest endeavor.
Above the chicken feeder is our nature shelf...you know...where all our nature-y things go.
Things like these.
Books...books...and books.
Supplies
and more supplies.
I made these a few years ago. One for each kid...for lounging and reading.
Bye, now...thanks for looking around with me.
Here's some links to some other school rooms I like...

Good!! I love snooping! ha!
Love it! And the carpet is to die for.
Looking back on my pictures makes me realize that I need to do a new post. Lots has changed - not a surprise with the way I like to flit from one thing to another!
you're books look all too familiar - are you studying story of the world volume 2 this year? thats what we're on!
Lindsey, YES! we are working on the story of the world vol. 2. too bad we didn't live closer and we could co-op! have fun!!
What a cute school room. Perfect for learning. The rug had me!
My little one and I will be making some of those spool people- so cute!
I loved the tour of your beautiful home! Our house was built in 1948 and I would love something more vintage one day. How do you like the radiator heat? Sometimes that scares me away....
adore the chicken feeder bookshelf...and you have an adorable schoolroom.
blessings,
alison
I so adored you Tour of Homes photos and was psyched to see your link for your school room. I will be starting homeschool with my kindergartener this fall and I am just a sponge right now. I am trying to absorb every bit of info (visually) on classroom set ups. Great job.
YOu have a lovely name by the way!
Signed,
Alicia Hendrickson
