So...I'm weird. Yes, I think that's a good description of how I'm feeling right now.
Today is my hubby's birthday {Happy Birthday, Sweets} and the plan was this:
lay the little woman down for a nap,
put together a yummy pecan pie for the par-tay tonight,
and blog while it's baking...so it can smell yummy while I'm typing away.
Some of these rules include:
-school must start after Labor Day, August is still summer to me
-birthdays must be celebrated on the date...if extended celebrating happens to come before or after that's fine, but there must be some sort of celebration on. the. day.
-Christmas decorations come out on or after December 1st. No earlier. Period. End of story.
Which brings me to today...I listen to music all the time while I'm in the kitchen. And there are certain CD's that can only be listened to at certain times of the year.....
-Something's Gotta Give Soundtrack--summer
-Christmas Carols--December thru January
-Miles Davis Greatest Hits--summer
-George Winston Autumn--fall
Which brings me to today, I was so super excited to get out my George Winston CD and listen while I baked. But sadly, I found the case, but no CD :( I'm very upset about this and will probably end up ordering another copy...so I can listen to it...in the Fall.
So that's it...I'm weird ok?? Or maybe it's OCD?
Not sure, but I'm feeling a little more weird now that I shared that.
So, I have to know...I'm I the only weird one?
Hello? Are you there?
:)

I am SO much the same way when it comes to birthdays. We almost always have a family party on the weekend before or after our kids' birthdays, but they still get a special dessert or meal on their actual day as well as their gift from us. I'm the same way myself. I can have a great party before or after, but I still want my day to be recognized!! :o)
