February found us studying Vincent van Gogh for artist study. He was a really troubled person, but he art is fantastic! I personally love Irises and Starry Night. I always have the kids do thier own renditions of one of our featured artist's pieces, so we did Starry Night. First I had them sketch out in pencil their outline...

I just ran across these looking at your slipcover Tiffany and I have been talking about. I love that the kids get to learn about these artist, My little Katie learned about Matisse at school before I did, and then the stuff I saw I was like, huh, I hope this isn't what they learn...lol. Artists are so interestingly crazy. My favorite is Van Gogh sending is ear, how sad!?
