Since we're really taking on a light load for school this month, I decided to do have the kids do a pretty good amount of Christmas reading. My kids love books and
every book is their favorite! But what's a great book without a fun craft or project to go with it?? So I chose 12 of our 'favorites' and decided to try and do
12 Days of Christmas Crafts. Now, don't hold me to it...all my plans are in pencil this time of year...we just do what we can with all the other busyness of December.
So here's what we accomplished this week....
On the first day of Christmas....
We read The Wild Christmas Reindeer and made some cute little reindeer of our own from corks.

On the second day of Christmas....
Who doesn't love the
Grinch?? My kids do, that's for sure. They love how mean he is!

But remember when his heart grew three sizes on Christmas?
We made his much-more-loving heart from felt and stuffed it to hang on the tree. It was quite interesting watching two little boys try to stitch that together :)

Those are the cutest reindeer! How did you make them?
Jenny, the reindeer were super easy. We hot glued 4 tiny corks to the side of a bigger cork to make the body and feet. We then connected that cork with another big cork with a toothpick. Then we glued on pipecleaner antlers and ears to the back of the head and drew a face on...:)
So cute Alicia!
Those reindeer are too cute! What a great idea!
